Mail encryption and Signature

Prerequisites

Please send an email to Heiko Schinke to request an E-mail certificate.

Once you receive your mail certificate, make sure to save it in a safe location on our computer.
Open Thunderbird on your desktop and go to Settings.
Search for the topic Certificates and click Manage Certificates.
Click Import, navigate to the location of your certificate and select it.
Go to Account-Settings -> End-to-End-Encryption.
Under S/MIME select the available certificate, both for digital signing and encryption.
Enable encryption for new messages and tick the box Sign unencrypted messages.
