Two Factor Authentication

To improve our and your security the institute uses two factor authentication (2FA) for various services, e.g., email, owncloud and gitlab. This way, any attack requires not only your password, which may be guessed if poorly chosen or somewho made public by accident, but also an additional one time passcode, which is only valid for a limited time.

Currently, we have different 2FA services active for different MPI MiS services, e.g., for email, gitlab and our selfservice portal.
