Setup 2FA

Please note, that this guide does not include the 2FA for your MPI-Mail-Address! If you are looking to set up 2FA for your E-Mail Account, please refer to this Guide instead.

Please log into (selfservice.mis.mpg.de) and click on the Generate 2FA token button:

Assuming that you do not have an active 2FA, you will see the following screen on which you should click on the Generate a new token button:

A new 2FA token was generated and is now presented to you. You may either scan the QR code via your smartphone app (see also ()) or enter the token details into your 2FA program.

Important

Please make sure that you have entered all data, including correct algorithm, period and number of digits.

Once this is done, you will need to test the token, i.e., generate a one time password with you 2FA app, enter it in the input field below and click oon Test token. Only after doing this, your 2FA token is active.
